What is this all about?
Well firstly, "parkrun" is a free weekly 5km running time trial that is suitable for all abilities. You can be fast, slow, push your pram or bring your dog. Whole families do parkrun together.

What's this got to do with Hillingdon Triathletes?
We have so many members regularly taking part in parkrun events locally and indeed globally, we decided to use this platform to record our personal times just like we do for Bike and Swim TT's.

So how does this work?
Members are encouraged to take part in the first parkrun of each month (Saturday at 9am). One of our members will collate the results from the parkrun website and record your progress in a spreadsheet that is posted further up this page.
To take part, you need to be registered with parkrun and submit your barcode after each event (really simple, details on the parkrun link above).
Your club needs to be registered as "Hillingdon Triathletes" to allow for easy filtering (you are asked this during registration).
Our "Home" parkrun is Black Park where you ought to see a fair few of our members running regularly, but don't worry if you can't make it there. As long as you've registered your club with parkrun as Hillingdon Triathletes then we'll pick up your results wherever you run in the world.

What exactly is Parkrun?
The parkrun (always use lower case "p") description from their website is as follows....

What is Black Park parkrun?
It is a 5km run - it's you against the clock.

When is it?
Every Saturday at 9:00am.

Where is it?
It's run in The Black Park Country Park, Slough. See Course page for more details.

What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! But please register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won't get a time.

How fast do I have to be?
We all run for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!

So there you have it, no excuses. Click on this link, register with parkrun and start recording times. Oh, and parkrun always need volunteers to marshal their events so please help out by registering here.
